TESTIMONIALS
“Just thought I would drop you a line to say a big thank you for
the quality of the training recently received. I would definitely
recommend your company for supplies and training in the smart
repair industry. I will be purchasing all my supplies and
consumables from yourselves in the future. I have found everyone
at Smart Express to be very approachable, helpful and very
supportive. The team has been a total inspiration to me and their
experience within the smart repair sector is second to none. I look
forward to a long and happy relationship with Smart Express.“
Gary Macey (Southampton)
“I did a lot of research over several months into the smart repair
industry, and looked at many other companies. However, from the
moment I spoke to Smart Express on the phone it was obvious that
Wizard On Wheels was a much better opportunity for me. When I
met Steve and the team I was struck by the friendly, down-to-earth
approach of all the staff. A true family business with such a positive
atmosphere is rare, and I knew it would be a pleasure to work with
Smart Express.
My training was fantastic and very enjoyable. The trainers are
true professionals and went out of their way to ensure I had
absolutely everything I needed before I drove my van away.
Once I was out on the raod, the support continued. I know that I
can phone any time and receive support. I really cannot thank the
team enough for making my business launch so smooth and
enjoyable.”
INTRODUCTION
BEFORE
5 DAYS
Paintless Dent Repair (PDR), also known as “Paintless Dent
Removal”, is a collection of techniques for removing minor dents
and dings from the body of a motor vehicle. A wide range of
damage can be repaired using PDR; however, usually if there is
paint damage, PDR may be unsuitable.
The most common practical use for PDR is the repair of hail
damage, door dings, minor body creases and minor bumper
indentations. The techniques can also be applied to help prepare
the damaged panel for paint. Such applications are referred to as
“push to paint”, or “push for paint”.
Limiting factors for a successful repair using PDR include the
flexibility of the paint and the amount the metal has been
stretched by the damage incurred. Hence, often extremely sharp
dents and creases may not be repairable - at least not without
painting afterwards.
Glue Pulling Dent Reduction
Glue Pulling Dent Reduction
SMART SYSTEM BROCHURE
REF: PAGE 24
INTRODUCTION
5 DAYS
Glue pulling is a process of removing dents using various shape
glue tabs, hot glue, slide hammer, bridge and knock down tools.
The glue is applied to the tabs and placed on the dent. After drying
for a short time, a technician uses a slide hammer or bridge to pull
on the glue tab. The idea is to pull the dent back level or a little
higher, in which case the high can be tapped back down to level.
Glue pulling is an important part of PDR these days and that is why
we include this as one of our training programmes. Our Kit will
allow you to remove dents in hard to access areas without drilling.
This is very important for any tech that plans on doing any
insurance work, hail damage or minor collision. Some insurance
companies have a NO DRILL policy when it comes to PDR.
PAS125 - Getting the Kitemark
GETTING THE KITEMARK1 DAY
4 DAYS
WHAT IS COVERED
This 4 Day “Getting The Kitemark” course is designed so delegates
are able to go back to their business and implement the processes
required for PAS125 without the need for consultants. Delegates
will be able to work out what to do and where to start.
The course will cover required processes for Kitemark certification.
Documents will be supplied during the training with compliant
forms and a supporting manual, which explains in detail where
they should be used and why they should be used.
Apart from the 5 main sections of PAS125, which are explained in
detail, the course also covers the type of training the technicians
will require, and what suppliers can do to support and assist with
the implementation of the PAS125.
A full explanation of the application process is provided, so any
delegates will be able to undertake the necessary actions to obtain
accreditation.
Getting Kitemark accreditation can be daunting to those
unfamiliar with the process. Even some of the best bodyshops
have been unsuccessful in their first attempt to gain accreditation
because of minor non-conformities. It is an expensive assessment,
so let us guide you through the minefield so you know what to
expect and there are no surprises. Our aim is to help you achieve
Kitemark accreditation, with flying colours.
• Implementation - how to introduce PAS125 into the business.
• People - recruitment, induction, training and competence.
• Training - providers and what is required.
• Methods - where from, when used and who produces them.
• Tools & equipment - suitability, calibration and storage.
• Suppliers - who and how they can assist.
• Materials - storage, compliancy and traceability.
• Auditing - continuous improvement and management.
• Application - how to apply for PAS125.
• Use of the Kitemark - guidelines and marketing ideas.
After the training, delegates will have continuous free email
support for up to three months to help them implement the
required changes or improvements.
• UK locations.
• Compliant documents included.
• Email support for up to 3 months after the training.
• Training includes written content, refreshments and lunch.
We’re so confident you’ll pass your inspection, we even offer a
FREE day! Once the BSi inspection has taken place, if any
non-conformances are raised we will offer a FREE day to resolve
those issues!
Training locations cover the whole of the UK. Each course has
restricted numbers so early booking is recommended.
