Kolejną nietypową imprezą festiwalową,
odbywającą się w Łodzi, jest MIĘDZYNARO-
DOWY FESTIWAL KOMIKSU I GIER. Klimat
festiwalu tworzą rysownicy, scenarzyści i wydawcy
z całego świata, którzy spotykają się
z publicznością i prowadzą warsztaty rysunkowe
„komiks session”. Rozszerzenie festiwalu
o sferę gier komputerowych dało możliwości
organizowania turniejów, prezentacji gier
i sprzętu oraz premier i wzbogaciło formułę,
ściągając rzesze pasjonatów i turystów. Edukacyjna
rola festiwalu pozostaje bezdyskusyjna.
Organizatorami są Stowarzyszenie Twórców
„Contur” oraz Łódzki Dom Kultury.
FOTOFESTIWAL to jeden z pierwszych w Polsce
festiwali fotograficznych. Podczas imprezy
tworzy się przestrzeń do prezentacji różnych
form fotografii i platforma do dyskusji o sztuce,
społeczeństwie oraz alternatywnych formach
eksponowania fotografii. Ważnym aspektem jest
tu podejście humanistyczne i społeczne. Organizatorem
jest Fundacja Edukacji Wizualnej.
INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF PHO-
TOGRAPHY (FOTOFESTIWAL) is one of the
International FESTIVAL OF COMICS AND
GAMES IN LODZ is another extraordinary
event whose atmosphere is fed by comic and
film writers, comic creators and publishers
from all over the world who join the festival
to interact with the audience conducting comic
drawing workshops where they teach
comic drawing techniques (comics sessions).
Introducing computer games into the festival
opened the door to tournaments, exhibitions
of games and equipment as well as premiers
and enriched the event formula, attracting
numbers of enthusiasts and tourists. Educational
value of the festival is invaluable. The
first in Poland addressing the art of photography
in innovative ways. The event is held
annually in May and is intended as a space for
various forms of photography and a forum
for discussion and exchanging ideas on art
and society, but also as a search for alternative
methods of talking about photography
and presenting it. The humanist and social
aspects of the exhibited work has always
played an important role. The festival is organised
by Foundation of Visual Education.
Od 2010 r. istnieje pierwszy w Europie festiwal
(Semafor Film Festival), dedykowany animacji
stop motion (lalkowej i przestrzennej),
aby przybliżyć wiedzę na temat animowanych
filmów lalkowych i technik przestrzennych.
Obok konkursów i projekcji stanowi forum
dyskusji na temat wyzwań kina dziecięcego i
tego specyficznego rodzaju animacji. Organizatorem
jest Fundacja Filmowa Se-ma-for.

Se-ma-for Film Festival is dedicated to
stop-motion, (puppet and three-dimensional)
animation. The festival aims to disseminate
the art of stop-motion animation
techniques. The programmes challenge with
competition and inspire with discussion platforms
featuring challenges of children cinematography
and animation. This festival is
organised by Se-ma-for Film Foundation.
