Wschodnia część EC1 pełnić będzie funkcje<br />
kulturalno-artystyczne. Swoje miejsce znajdą<br />
tu biblioteka, jezioro pamięci (projekt multimedialny),<br />
planetarium, galeria, a także sale<br />
seminaryjno-konferencyjne dla gości, wykładowców,<br />
studentów czy artystów. Interesującym<br />
elementem architektonicznym tej części<br />
jest komin o wysokości blisko 69 metrów, który<br />
pełnić ma funkcję wieży widokowej.<br />
The EC1 East will be a fantastic background<br />
for cultural and artistic activities with the<br />
library, Memory Lake (multimedia project)<br />
planetarium, galleries, seminars and conference<br />
rooms for guests, lecturers, students<br />
and artists. A nearly 69 m high chimney is an<br />
interesting architectural object functioning<br />
as a viewing tower.<br />

Zachodnia część EC1 to centrum nauki i techniki,<br />
upamiętniające myśl techniczną, architektoniczną<br />
oraz, za sprawą pełnionej niegdyś funkcji, historię<br />
energetyki. Znajdą się tam: ścieżka energetyczna,<br />
ścieżka historii cywilizacji i nauki oraz ścieżka „mikroświat<br />
– makroświat”. Wszystkie ścieżki będą miały<br />
charakter interaktywny, gdzie oprócz doświadczeń<br />
w dziedzinie fizyki, chemii i biologii pole do popisu<br />
będą mieli archeolodzy, paleontolodzy i przedstawiciele<br />
nauk społecznych. To wszystko z poszanowaniem<br />
wartości historycznej zachowanego, oryginalnego wyposażenia<br />
postindustrialnych obiektów.<br />
EC1 West will host the interactive Centre of Science<br />
and Technology to honour the technology, architecture<br />
and the history of power generation combining respect<br />
and appreciation for the historical value with the new<br />
fittings for new functions based on former traditions.<br />
The centre will offer three educational paths: Path of<br />
Energy, Path of History of Civilisation and Science and<br />
Micro World and Macro World Path. All the paths not<br />
only will offer an interactive experience in such fields as<br />
Physics, Chemistry and Biology, but also the possibility<br />
for archaeologists, palaeontologists and social scientists<br />
to perform their own experiments and explore scientific<br />
phenomena. The above activities will highly respect the<br />
historical value, preserving the original equipment of<br />
post-industrial interiors in their traditional form.
