NOWE CENTRUM ŁODZI / New City Centre 44 Nowe Centrum Łodzi jest spektakularnym projektem, realizowanym na powierzchni 100 hektarów w samym sercu Łodzi. Dzięki tak potężnej rewitalizacji i urbanistycznemu wyzwaniu oraz projektowi światowej sławy architekta Roba Kriera, ta część śródmieścia, podzielona na trzy strefy łączące funkcje kulturalne, komercyjne i mieszkaniowe, odzyska blask i ponownie zaistnieje w świadomości nie tylko mieszkańców Łodzi. Within New City Centre Project, 100 ha of the city area will be totally reconstructed. The area has been divided into three zones, linking cultural, commercial and housing functions. This brave enterprise and urban challenge taken by world famous architect Rob Krier, aims to bring this part of the city to its old prime and find its new place not only in the inhabitants’ minds. Wokół zabytkowej elektrociepłowni EC1 powstaną również: centrum sztuki filmowej, planetarium, centrum nauki i techniki, kino 3D, teatr dźwięku. Całość uzupełniona będzie #LodzNewCityCentre atrakcyjnymi terenami: zielonym parkiem Moniuszki oraz centralnie położonym rynkiem. The plans include: new underground Fabryczna Railway Station, as a part of communication infrastructure, new fast speed railway connection from Lodz to Warsaw, Wroclaw and Poznan. In the vicinity of and inspired by a former power-heat station, within the area located in EC1 there will be created an area for cultural, artistic and social functions, fulfilled by Interactive Science and Technology Centre, Cinematography Art Centre, Planetarium, 3D Cinema, Theatre of Sound and post- production. www.lodzkie.travel
Wschodnia część EC1 pełnić będzie funkcje kulturalno-artystyczne. Swoje miejsce znajdą tu biblioteka, jezioro pamięci (projekt multimedialny), planetarium, galeria, a także sale seminaryjno-konferencyjne dla gości, wykładowców, studentów czy artystów. Interesującym elementem architektonicznym tej części jest komin o wysokości blisko 69 metrów, który pełnić ma funkcję wieży widokowej. The EC1 East will be a fantastic background for cultural and artistic activities with the library, Memory Lake (multimedia project) planetarium, galleries, seminars and conference rooms for guests, lecturers, students and artists. A nearly 69 m high chimney is an interesting architectural object functioning as a viewing tower. #EC1 Zachodnia część EC1 to centrum nauki i techniki, upamiętniające myśl techniczną, architektoniczną oraz, za sprawą pełnionej niegdyś funkcji, historię energetyki. Znajdą się tam: ścieżka energetyczna, ścieżka historii cywilizacji i nauki oraz ścieżka „mikroświat – makroświat”. Wszystkie ścieżki będą miały charakter interaktywny, gdzie oprócz doświadczeń w dziedzinie fizyki, chemii i biologii pole do popisu będą mieli archeolodzy, paleontolodzy i przedstawiciele nauk społecznych. To wszystko z poszanowaniem wartości historycznej zachowanego, oryginalnego wyposażenia postindustrialnych obiektów. EC1 West will host the interactive Centre of Science and Technology to honour the technology, architecture and the history of power generation combining respect and appreciation for the historical value with the new fittings for new functions based on former traditions. The centre will offer three educational paths: Path of Energy, Path of History of Civilisation and Science and Micro World and Macro World Path. All the paths not only will offer an interactive experience in such fields as Physics, Chemistry and Biology, but also the possibility for archaeologists, palaeontologists and social scientists to perform their own experiments and explore scientific phenomena. The above activities will highly respect the historical value, preserving the original equipment of post-industrial interiors in their traditional form.
