United Way Emerging Leaders Society is designed for young professionals
who define what it means to be a leader in our 40-town region. Members are
dedicated to creating positive social change in our community.
The group’s mission is to inspire leadership in advocacy, volunteerism
and philanthropy among young professionals by offering volunteer,
educational and networking opportunities.

together with other Emerging Leaders you will have the opportunity to invest in
local youth and a build a stronger, more vibrant for all.
Membership dollars and volunteer efforts support the advancement of education
through United Way Community Investment programs and support services.
Membership Benefits
Those who contribute a gift of $50
or more annually (or at the student
rate of $25) to United Way Community
Investment through the United Way
Community Campaign are eligible to
become members of the Emerging
Leaders Society. Membership
benefits reflect the gift level.
Those who give an annual gift to the
United Way Community Campaign
through their workplace, also qualify
for membership.
All new members receive a welcome
package, including an ELS/United
Way DO SOMETHING BIG t-shirt.

EMERGING LEADERS SOCIETY STEERING COMMITTEE
The Emerging Leaders Society is comprised of young
professionals from area businesses, corporations and United Way
partner agencies who meet quarterly.
Under the direction and leadership of the Chair, the Vice Chair and
the United Way staff, the Emerging Leaders Society plans and
implements strategies to:
•Increase membership in the Emerging Leaders Society;
•Develop and execute educational, community service, networking
and professional development opportunities for our members;
•Increase the visibility of the Emerging Leaders Society and it’s
significance to our local community; and
•Motivate peers to GIVE, ADVOCATE, VOLUNTEER.
