United Way <strong>Emerging</strong> <strong>Leaders</strong> <strong>Society</strong> is designed for young professionals<br />
who define what it means <strong>to</strong> be a leader in our 40-<strong>to</strong>wn region. Members are<br />
dedicated <strong>to</strong> creating positive social change in our community.<br />
The group’s mission is <strong>to</strong> inspire leadership in advocacy, volunteerism<br />
and philanthropy among young professionals by offering volunteer,<br />
educational and networking opportunities.<br />

through United Way Community Investment programs and support services.<br />
Membership Benefits<br />
Those who contribute a gift of $50<br />
or more annually (or at <strong>the</strong> student<br />
rate of $25) <strong>to</strong> United Way Community<br />
Investment through <strong>the</strong> United Way<br />
Community Campaign are eligible <strong>to</strong><br />
become members of <strong>the</strong> <strong>Emerging</strong><br />
<strong>Leaders</strong> <strong>Society</strong>. Membership<br />
benefits reflect <strong>the</strong> gift level.<br />
Those who give an annual gift <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />
United Way Community Campaign<br />
through <strong>the</strong>ir workplace, also qualify<br />

The <strong>Emerging</strong> <strong>Leaders</strong> <strong>Society</strong> is comprised of young<br />
professionals from area businesses, corporations and United Way<br />
partner agencies who meet quarterly.<br />
Under <strong>the</strong> direction and leadership of <strong>the</strong> Chair, <strong>the</strong> Vice Chair and<br />
<strong>the</strong> United Way staff, <strong>the</strong> <strong>Emerging</strong> <strong>Leaders</strong> <strong>Society</strong> plans and<br />
implements strategies <strong>to</strong>:<br />
•Increase membership in <strong>the</strong> <strong>Emerging</strong> <strong>Leaders</strong> <strong>Society</strong>;<br />
•Develop and execute educational, community service, networking<br />
and professional development opportunities for our members;<br />
•Increase <strong>the</strong> visibility of <strong>the</strong> <strong>Emerging</strong> <strong>Leaders</strong> <strong>Society</strong> and it’s<br />
significance <strong>to</strong> our local community; and<br />
