Adverbs of degree show how big or important something is. They make the meaning weaker (small<br />

degree) or stronger (large degree).<br />

Small degree: a little, a bit, slightly<br />

Me<strong>di</strong>um degree: quite, fairly, pretty, rather, reasonably, relatively<br />

Large degree: extremely, really, very, absolutely, completely<br />
