1.8 Compliance with GMPs<br />
Background<br />
Federal agencies have established regulations to include basic food safety. This<br />
requirement is to ensure compliance with US Current Good Manufacturing Practices or<br />
equivalent in other countries.<br />
Standard<br />
All pest management programs must comply with Current Good Manufacturing Practices<br />
(GMPs). All technicians performing any type of work in food plants must be trained in<br />
requirements of GMPs and plant implementation. Also plants may have GMP-related<br />
requirements beyond GMPs and technicians must be trained in plant policies as well.<br />
Written verification must be on file in the plant and in the company office.<br />
