Sealed tenders are hereby invited from enlisted (B&R
Branch) contractors/agencies in M.C Jalandhar for the under
mentioned works on behalf of Commissioner.
The tender will be considered only if accompanied by earnest
money in shape of Demand Draft/ Bankers Cheque/ Deposit at callreceipt
of any Scheduled Bank duly pledged in favour of
Corporation Engineer, M.C Jalandhar, payable at Jalandhar. The
earnest money will be @ 5% of the estimated cost. Cost of each
tender form will be Rs.500/- at Counter or can also be downloaded
from Municipal Corporation Jalandhar website: www.mcjalandhar.in
and can be submitted with demand draft of Rs. 500/- as Tender form
cost in favour of Municipal Corporation Jalandhar.
Validity of tenders shall be four months.
If the tender’s day happens to be holiday the tenders
will be issued/ received & opened on next subsequent working day.

Terms & Conditions
1. Payments will be released only after receipt of IQAC
reports.
2. The difference of bitumen rate (For group A & B) will only
be applicable for the works which will be executed within
the stipulated time period as per NIT.
3. The rate for paver works will be decided on “star rate”
basis (lowest of both the groups).
4. The Commissioner is competent to get executed the paver
work from any of the agency if the work is not executed by
the allotted agency.
5. The Contractors/agencies will arrange for workers
Insurance, Identity cards, Rubber Gloves, Helmets & other
safety equipments wherever required.
6. Income Tax/Sale Tax/Vat/Labour cess or any other tax if
levied by Govt. will be deducted from the bill.
7. The Contractor/agency will be responsible to
follow/Maintain Labour Laws, P.F act/rules & Income tax
rules etc. as payable for the labour engaged for the work.
8. The Commissioner Municipal Corporation Jalandhar will be
the sole Arbitrator in case any dispute arises during /
after execution of the work.
9. All legal proceedings with the contractor will be subject
to the territorial jurisdiction of Civil Courts at
Jalandhar.
10. The estimated amount, quantities and scope of work can
be increased or decreased.
11. The Contractors/Agency should not be black listed from
any department and an affidavit/undertaking will be
required to be submitted along with tender.
12. Rates will be quoted with pen/ball pen & it should be
covered with Cello tape.
13. Contractors/agencies will have to quote their rates in
percentage (minus or plus) on C.S.R+ N.S.P as well as on
N.S items. Conditional & Over writing tenders shall be
rejected.
14. Free of cost condition and other conditional rates which
are not covered in the scope of estimates shall not be
considered & in such cases tender will be straight way
rejected.
15. The Payment of final bill will be made on the basis of
the lowest Comparative statement worked out at the final
stage.
16. The Contractors will not sub-let the contract to any
other agency.
17. Tenders for the works related to the BM & Mix seal, can
only be submitted by the Contractors/agencies having their
own fully computerized Hot Mix plant & Mechanical pavers
etc. The contractor/agency will submit the ownership

document of their plant, machinery etc. against his/
agency’s name. The contractor/agency should have physical
possession of censor paver and vibrator roller (with
documentary proof of ownership). The agency should have 3-4
computerized paver machines. The Corporation can verify the
machinery before issue of tender form.
18. The Contractor/ agency must have Vat No. for tender
above Rs. 5.00 Lacs as per Govt. rules.
19. The contractor/ agency tendering for the work of group A
& B should have achieved an Annual financial turnover
amounting to Rs.35.00 crores in either of last three years
ending 31 st March of previous financial year.
20. Any tender can be rejected without assigning any reason
by M.C.Jalandhar.
