VI. INFORMATION REGARDING COURSES OFFERED
University has introduced Semester System in under graduate courses at T.D.C. – I level
in all streams (Arts, science & commerce stream ) w.e.f. the session 2010-11. Any change in the
syllabus or the scheme of examination will be intimated later.
(A) B.A. PART-I (GENERAL)
Compulsory Subjects:
1. English
2. Hindi/ Panjabi/Sanskrit/ Urdu
HUMANITIES
Note : 1. Every candidate must offer Hindi either as a compulsory subject or as an elective
subject, provided that no candidate will be allowed to offer Hindi both as elective and compulsory
subjects.
2. A candidate coming from a non-Hindi area or a candidate covered under clause 10 (iii) of the
Ordinance – General Rules for Examination, shall if he did not offer Hindi / Panjabi/ Urdu in the
examination qualifying for admission to the B.A.( General) Part-I, offer in lieu of compulsory Hindi /
Panjabi / Sanskrit / Urdu the subject of Additional English which shall carry the same marks as for
Hindi/Panjabi/ Sanskrit/Urdu.

11. Mathematics, Sanskrit
12. Mathematics, Punjabi
13. Mathematics, Economics
14. Mathematics, Geography
15. Mathematics, Psychology
16. Mathematics, Statistics
17. Economics, Sanskrit
