The YMCA, a nonprofit charity, has been serving our
community for over 140 years. Like their forefathers, the Y
Board of Directors is committed to keeping its membership,
programs and activities accessible to all. Thanks to the
Y Annual Campaign and the Business Partner Program,
we’ve been able to meet the increasing demand for
scholarships and program support to keep our promise to
the community. When most people are asked to help, our
volunteers hear a resounding “YES, I’d love to help this
community gem!”
Y Annual Campaign
With nearly 100 volunteers and over 400 donors supporting
the 2012 Y’s Annual Campaign, they raised over $150,000
for scholarships, programs and building renewal. Together,
they are nurturing the potential of kids, promoting healthy
living, and fostering a sense of social responsibility. They
are providing funds for scholarships and programs for
children, adults and families who would not otherwise be
able to afford Y services. They are helping keep the Y and
Camp Pepin available to all and providing the opportunity
for people of all ages to learn, grow and thrive. Thank you
change can only come about when we all work together
to invest in our kids, our health and our neighbors.
That’s why, at the Y, strengthening community is
our cause. Every day, we work side-by-side with our
neighbors to make sure that everyone, regardless of
age, income or background, has the opportunity to
learn, grow and thrive.
Our Areas of Focus
YOUTH DEVELOPMENT: Nurturing the potential of every
child and teen.
HEALTHY LIVING: Improving the nation’s health and
well-being.
• Children and teens play, learn who they are and what
they can achieve, and are accepted.
• Adults connect with friends, pursue interests and learn
how to live healthier.
• Communities thrive because neighbors support each
other and give back.
• We all build relationships that further our sense of
