1. Above <strong>the</strong> Ceiling Behind <strong>the</strong> Walls: Hands-on demo<br />

<strong>to</strong> show energy loss in a house. Retrofit measures<br />

are discussed and installed helping home owners/<br />

contrac<strong>to</strong>rs do <strong>the</strong> work safely and correctly.<br />

help you see what you may be trying <strong>to</strong> get out<br />

5. Comparative <strong>Energy</strong> Performance of Natural Wall<br />

Systems: Come <strong>to</strong> a presentation and discussion on<br />

<strong>the</strong> insulating and <strong>the</strong>rmal s<strong>to</strong>rage values of wall<br />

assemblies built with natural building materials<br />

such as straw bale, compressed-earth block, cob,<br />

and straw-clay. (Beginner, Intermediate) Dan<br />

s<strong>to</strong>rage. This workshop will cover wall design,<br />

insulating options, and construction techniques.<br />

7. Cordwood Construction Best Practices: Learn about<br />

8. Cordwood Masonry: Learn and discuss some basic<br />

considerations of cordwood masonry including<br />

styles of construction and “special effects.”<br />
