Waste: Reuse and Reduce
Join us in maximizing our ability to transform
waste into resources! Last year the Fair
welcomed over 20,000 attendees. We work to
keep the majority of the waste saved from the
landfill and turned into valuable resources! We
utilize the composted materials to improve the
grounds at the MREA.
Look for our Resource Recovery Stations
throughout the grounds of The Energy Fair.
WOODEN bins for COMPOST
BLUE bins for RECYCLE items
GREEN roller bins for GARBAGE
COMPOST
All plates, utensils, and cups from vendors
are biodegradable! These items are made
from annually renewable resources, and are
composted on-site.
Place all these items and food scraps into the
wooden compost bins.
RECYCLE
Recycle aluminum cans, glass or plastics
stamped with 1 or 2. These items can be mixed
in the recycle bins.
Cardboard and paper will be placed in the
receptacle labeled cardboard located to the
west of the Exhibit Hall B.
REDUCE
Reduce what you use. Bring your own plate,
mug, water bottle, and utensils.
A dishwashing station is available in the
basement of the ReNew the Earth Institute.
With your help we can get even closer to being
a waste-free event!
