3 steps for the photocatalysic
degradation reaction ot the surface
active agent on the surface of TiO2:
1) Absorption of surface active agent on the
surface of TiO 2 ;
2) Absorption of UV by TiO 2 and the formation of
electron/hole pair ( 电 子 / 空 穴 对 ) (e - /h + ), and the
further reaction between this pair and the
aromatic ring (Ar) of the surface active agent
and the production of aromatic cations (Ar + );
3) The ring-opening process of Ar + , and successive
oxidation to the fnial production of CO 2.
