Coagulation method:using alum, iron salts and limes,
etc. as the coagulant
Absorption method:Using active carbon or other
natural macromolecular compounds with strong chelating
power.
Reduction method:ionic mercury is reduced to
elemetary mercury and then filter the waste water.
reducing agent: Al, Zn, SnCl2 etc.
Ion-exchange method/ Coagulation method using iron
salts or aluminum salts/ Absorption method using active
carbon can reduced the concentration of dissolved
mercury in the water to lower than 0.01 mg/L;
The combination of Settling method using sulfide and
Coagulation method can reduce the concentration of
dissolved mercury to 0.02 mg/L;Reduction method is
used when the concentration of mercury in the waste
water is very low.
