Mercury

• In oxidizing natural water,
mercury are mostly in the forms of
bivalent mercury (HgCl 2 , Hg(OH) 2 )
and elementary mercury (Hg 0 ) ;
• In the forms of HgCl 3- 、 HgCl 4- in
marine water with high Cl -
concentration;
• In the forms of ethiopsite ( 硫 化 汞 )
in reduced water containing sulfur
(e.g. soil seeper) ;
• In the substrate sludge of water,
inorganic mercury can be
transformed into methyl mercury
by microorganizm.
