• Jake Beier ’34 was the first <strong>DWU</strong> basketball player<br />
to score more than 1,000 points in a career. There<br />
are now 49 players who have accomplished that<br />
feat.<br />
• The “shot heard around the world” occurred on<br />
Feb. 23, 1974, when Greg Farrar hit a 70-foot field<br />
goal in the last second to beat Huron College 82-81<br />
for the conference championship.<br />
• The Tigers won 20 or more games in five straight<br />
seasons from 2006-11.<br />
