Add images from the Gallery
Share your photos with anyone in seconds
Emails are about much more than text
because you have the opportunity to share
media with anyone you like in an instant.
This is something you may be used to doing
on a desktop, but the good news is that all of
the same facilities are available on a Galaxy
device thanks to the close ties that are built
in to the system which work with almost
any app you have installed. The Gallery app
is the default solution for presenting images
on a Samsung device and with this comes
a close relationship to email which can be
used to attach any image from the gallery
and to then send it. This method can be used
for other types of file as well using different
apps, but for this particular tutorial we will
concentrate on images. When you select and
attach an image to an email you will have
no opportunity to tweak it so make sure any
editing is done before you attach it. You can
then ensure that you are sending the right
photo and one that is as impressive as it can
be. So let’s gets started with using images
and email when mobile.
Attach any image Send any image from any email account
1: A new email
Tap the ‘+’ icon at the top to start creating a
new email. Enter the recipient’s email address,
add a title and the text you want to include.
If you can, try to add some context which
describes more about the image you are
going to attach to the email.
2: Use the menu
Tap the menu key and a list of options will
appear. Here you can add images, videos and
change many other parts of the email you
are dealing with. In this case you will want to
select Attach picture at the top to continue
with the process.
3: Many choices
You will now be given a choice of which app
you want to use to take an image from. This
will usually be a short list, but if you have a lot
of third party apps installed on your device,
the selection could be quite large. ‘Choose
Gallery’ to proceed.
4: Find the image
Navigate through the folders that show up
and find the image you want to attach. If you
have a lot of images loaded onto your device
this can take time, but the thumbnails are
large enough to recognise. Tap an image and
you will be taken back to the email.
5: Time to send
The image will now be shown in the email
body with the name and the size noted. You
can tap the ‘x’ to remove it from the email or
tap the send icon to send the email with the
image included. The process is very quick and
highly effective.
