New Sensitive Cockpit and MOTOMETER anniversary at Intermat
Visit MOTOMETER at hall 5a F011 and together let’s build the future
Muehlacker, 28th March 2012 - 2012 the specialist MOTOMETER GmbH celebrates the 100
years jubilee. According to the Intermat motto “Together let’s build the future” MOTOMETER
presents a lot of surprises in hall 5a F011 in Paris. One is the Sensitive Cockpit, a new
improvement in productivity based on Multitouch Projected Capacitance Technology. Further
innovations are the anniversary display system MOTOMASTER and the display unit
MOTOCANDIS in an extraordinary size. MOTOMETER also presents the special demo wall
which combines a lot of MOTOMETER products. Even the awarded ultrasonic level sensor
MOTOSONIC and the top qualified full electronic battery breaker MOTOBREAKER 2.0 are
placed on the wall. So the Intermat visitors can see locally how the MOTOMETER products
work.
100 years MOTOMETER
Since 1912 MOTOMETER has a permanent place in the automotive sector because the products
set milestones again and again. Everything began with the cooler thermometer and now the
specialist has more than 2.000 efficient and innovative products in the portfolio. In the anniversary
year the reliable partner of vehicle manufacturers, workshops and system engineers will exhibit for
the second time at the Intermat in hall 5a F011.
“Our MOTOMETER products are worldwide in use. The instruments are in agriculture vehicles,
construction machines, commercial vehicles such as trucks, special vehicles, roadsters and trikes.
The self understanding of MOTOMETER is shaped by reliability, diligence, continuity and the own
high requirement on quality work. The MOTOMETER team has always the aim to satisfy the
customer’s requests optimally. This is our motivation and the engine for further innovations.
Celebrate 100 years MOTOMETER and visit us at the Intermat hall 5a F011 because together we
build the future”, said Joachim Bulla, CEO of MOTOMETER GmbH in Muehlacker, Baden-
Wuerttemberg.
Besides smart products in the sector display equipment, sensors and body electronics, the company
presents the freshest chief attractions e.g. cockpit switches, solid state iso cut-off relay, bistabile
battery switches.
Latest Clou: Sensitive Cockpit simplifies machine control
MOTOMETER works with the Multitouch Projected Capacitance Technology and introduces with the
Sensitive Cockpit new improvements in productivity. The touch-sensitive surface enables a free
arrangement of operating elements and brings the machine control to perfection. This new panel
type is space-saving and has a similar, modern view like the iPhone generation. The touch pad can
be connected with a CAN display like MOTOCANDIS. So it realises a clearly and intuitive menu
navigation.
„Thereby, the highly complex machine cycles will be simple demonstrated. Elements which are
necessary but not always in use will be reduced or clustered. That minimises sources of error, error
rates and limitations of the operator. This simplified and clear machine control will unburden the
engine driver, support the security aspect at the daily use and avoids cost-intensive operating
errors“, specifies Joachim Bulla.
The sensitive cockpit technology is based on sensors in a glass operating area which build a
condenser. A voltage signal creates an electrical area which will be changed by the touch of the
finger. This change realises an exact positioning of the finger and builds the base for the projected
capacitance technology. Orientation on the operating module will be given by printed symbols on the

bottom side of the transparent surface and by engravings. A front panel made of glass offers the
perfect protection against all physical influences like mechanical, chemical, biological impacts.
Besides, OEMs can freely define their specific layout and the functions.
„The touch-sensitive operating module can easily be integrated in the main power supply with the
CAN communication. Generally it offers the OEMs the possibilities to force the simplified machine
control because the operating module get rid of the complexity. This enables the concentration of
the driver on the actual work task and boosts the effectiveness, efficiency and also the security“,
describes Bulla, the managing director.
