‘protection of health’ ; and ‘advancement of education’. These principals are insilled in the Charity’s constitution. To this
& Development Fair (in October 2010) and the Oshwal Health Awareness Day (in November 2011). Both these events
were attended by over 3,000 people. This year the OAUK will be hosting the Oshwal Enabling Education Fair on Sunday
Message from the Charity’s President
Raaxeet Harakhchand Shah (“Rex”)
The Oshwal Enabling Education Fair 2012 is a unique event which aims to educate and inspire all to
achieve their highest potential. Education is the language of a civilisation and is the key to creating
a community of openess, tolerance and social inclusion.
To educate is to inspire, and through this Fair we hope visitors can get access to the resources and
ideas to help their child develop and achieve their highest potential. For exhibitors, we hope that
you will have the opportunity to showcase your products and services to a diverse and proactive
community that is focused on investing in education.
universal right for all, regardless of abilities or disabilties. This Fair aims to target pre-school, nursery, primary,
secondary, college students, university students and graduates as well as Adult education. The Fair aims to educate and
inspire all to achieve their hightest potential as well as to raise awareness about a range of disability issues to inspire
people of all abilities to seek out education opportunities.
Talks & Debates
encompassing a range of educational topics, such as:
…and many more.
Speakers will be coming from various prominent
institutions. Furthermore, Students and Adults will be
able to participate in debates on a range of topical
issues.
issues, including classroom management. In addition,
there will be performance shows to highlight inclusive
performance arts.
Stalls
We are aiming to include many stalls from educational
and special needs related product and service providers
and organisations.
For registered charity or educational institutions there is
NO cost to hire a stall for the day but a small charge
applied to all other organisations and companies. If you
would like to arrange for a stall please contact: Ashish
Patani on email: ashish.patani@oshwal.org or mobile:
07708 753 510.
Zones
We are aiming to have several zones which will facilitate
idea and experience sharing about education matters,
such as:
• Teacher’s Zone • University Zone
• Parent’s Zone • Student’s Zone
• Internship & Appreticeship Zone
• Professional Training Zone
• Medical Zone
Raising Awareness about Education Opportunities
Given the change to the University tuition fees from September 2012,
one of the aims of this Fair is to bring in speakers who can talk about
student finance. Furthermore, given the economy climate we are also
seeking to bring in speakers about Internship and Apprentership
Programmes, and this would be a great opportunity to get knowledge
and information about education opportunities for all abilities or
disabilities.
