Connecting an AV amplifier with digital audio input Playing back from USB The digital receiver is able to playback/display MP3 files, JPEG files, film files and other files saved on a USB stick. NOTE: If the device cannot be connected to the USB port, use a USB extension cable. 1. Put a USB device in the USB port. 2. Press MENU, select Multi Media and press OK. The menu is displayed. 3. Select a file for playback/viewing and press PLAY. 4. Press STOP and remove the USB device to stop playback/viewing. 14
Installation and settings Check that all connections are correct before you switch on the digital receiver and the connected devices. When you switch on the digital receiver for the first time and the channels have not yet been set, the following screen will be displayed: 1. Select OSD Language and press� or � to select language. 2. Select Country and press� or � to select country. 3. Select Channel Tuning and press � or OK (middle key). The automatic channel search starts. The search lasts for a few minutes. Press EXIT if you want to stop the channel search. 4. When the channel search is complete, the first channel that has been set is displayed. The digital receiver is ready for use. TV When you switch on the digital receiver and the TV, the most recently viewed channel will be displayed. Select a different channel by pressing CH+/CH- or the numerical keys on the remote control. Menus By pressing the MENU button on the remote control you can set both the TV and media playback. Select the required menu, Programme Manage, Multi Media, Video Setting, Search Channel, Time Setting or System Setting and follow the instructions on the menus. You can always leave the menus by pressing EXIT. Password Some menus, including the child lock, require a password. The standard password is ”000000”, but this can be changed as required. System requirements: The aerial must be able to receive signals of a certain strength. Standard digital aerials are too weak. 15
