“This is it—this is <strong>Slumach</strong>’s mine” Tommy Williams April 1952 Chief Coquitlam Williams, now ancient and blind, was, according to his son Tommy Williams, the last living link with <strong>Slumach</strong>. In April 1952, a Vancouver Province journalist-photographer team, guided by Tommy Williams, went looking for the mine. Tommy Williams says they reached the site, but the whole area was under deep snow. They staked a claim.
The purpose of this issue is to have a geological survey made...to prove or disprove all the legendary stories. (Prospectus 3 September 1952)
