Western Power claimed it coped with the
increased demand despite using temporary
generators as power consumption hit a peak
of 3574MW at 4.55 pm, beating Tuesday’s
high of 3533 MW.
The Perth Seawater Desalination Plant uses
0.67% of this energy, whilst Perth was
using over 30% of the energy for airconditioning.
