STANDING INDEMNITY BOND
(FOR ON ACCOUNT PAYMENTS & STORES SUPPLIED BY RLYS.)
(On Stamp paper of Requisite Value)
We, M/s............................................................. hereby undertake that we hold at
our stores Depot/s at ................................................ for and on behalf of the President of
India in the premises through the General Manager or his successor, North Central
Railway (herein after referred to as “the Purchaser”) all materials for which “On
Account” payments have been made to us against the contract for “Design, preparation
Supply and Alteration for existing SSI/RRI/ PI/ Cabins in connection with Automatic
Block Signalling for 27 Block section of ALD Division between CNB – ALD section.”
’ vide letter of Acceptance of Tender No....................................... dated ................ and the
materials handed over to us by the purchaser for the purpose of execution of the said
Contract, until such time the materials are duly erected or otherwise handed over to him.
We shall be entirely responsible for the site custody and protection of the said
materials against all risk till they are duly delivered as erected equipment to the purchaser
or as he may direct otherwise and shall indemnify the Purchaser against any loss, damage
or deterioration what so ever in respect of the said materials while in our possession and
against disposal of surplus materials. The said materials shall at all times be open to
inspection by any Officer authorized by the Chief Administrative Officer/IRPMU, N C
Railway, Shivaji Bridge, New Delhi.
Should any loss, damage or deterioration of materials occur or surplus materials
disposed off and refund becomes due, the purchaser shall be entitled to recover from us
the full cost as per prices included in the Contract (as applicable) and also
compensation for such loss or damage if any along with
the amount to be refunded without prejudice to any other remedies available to him by
deduction from any sum due or any sum which at any time hereafter becomes due to us
under the said or any other Contract.
