PREAMBLE<br />
1 Tender Notice No. IRPMU/S&T/Kanpur/Project/CNB-ALD/Indoor/Tender- 21 Dt.<br />
13.4.2012.<br />
1.1 Name of work: “Design, preparation Supply and Alteration for exist<strong>in</strong>g SSI/RRI/ PI/ Cab<strong>in</strong>s <strong>in</strong><br />
connection with Automatic Block Signall<strong>in</strong>g for 27 Block section of ALD Division between<br />
CNB – ALD section.”<br />
1.2 General Conditions of the Contract, <strong>in</strong>structions to tenderer and Special Conditions of the<br />
Contract shall <strong>gov</strong>ern the tender. Wherever Preamble differs from Special Conditions, General<br />
Condition or Instruction to Tenderer, the provisions of Preamble shall override. Wherever<br />
Special Conditions of Contract differ from General Conditions of Contract and <strong>in</strong>structions to<br />
tenderer, the provisions of Special Conditions of Contract shall override.<br />
1. 2 Please note that a clause-by-clause compliance/deviation statement has to be submitted by the<br />
bidder mention<strong>in</strong>g specifically the page no of his offer file on which the documentary evidence<br />
of their compliance of the follow<strong>in</strong>g clause is placed.<br />
2 SCOPE OF WORK:<br />
2.1 “Design, preparation Supply and Alteration for exist<strong>in</strong>g SSI/RRI/ PI/ Cab<strong>in</strong>s <strong>in</strong> connection<br />
with Automatic Block Signall<strong>in</strong>g for 27 Block section of ALD Division between CNB – ALD<br />
section.”<br />
2.2 Exist<strong>in</strong>g Signall<strong>in</strong>g<br />
1. The signall<strong>in</strong>g system of work<strong>in</strong>g at station proposed to be modified <strong>in</strong> the tender is<br />
Electronic <strong>in</strong>terlock<strong>in</strong>g/PI/Cab<strong>in</strong> <strong>in</strong>stallation..<br />
2. The block section has Absolute block system.<br />
3. The Electronic Interlock<strong>in</strong>g are MLK II.<br />
Proposed Signall<strong>in</strong>g<br />
As per Section III Chapter 1 – Technical and Operational Guidel<strong>in</strong>es.<br />
2.3 The scope of work <strong>in</strong> the tender <strong>in</strong>cludes:<br />
a) Earth<strong>in</strong>g as per RDSO guidel<strong>in</strong>es. Typical scheme is attached <strong>in</strong> Technical<br />
specifications of Earth<strong>in</strong>g.<br />
b) Design & Undertak<strong>in</strong>g modifications <strong>in</strong> the exist<strong>in</strong>g EI/PI/Cab<strong>in</strong> based station<br />
<strong>in</strong>terlock<strong>in</strong>g to make it suitable for Automatic Signall<strong>in</strong>g.<br />
c) The design of Automatic block signal<strong>in</strong>g should facilitate switch over dur<strong>in</strong>g Foggy<br />
weather from Automatic block signall<strong>in</strong>g to Modified Automatic block signall<strong>in</strong>g.<br />
d) The work would generally <strong>in</strong>clude items as covered <strong>in</strong> the Schedule of Items, rates and<br />
quantities as under but also <strong>in</strong>clude those items which are required for commission<strong>in</strong>g<br />
of system as per scope of work although not specifically covered <strong>in</strong> schedule of<br />
requirement:<br />
