Clinical Experience
VKV American Hospital (2013-present): Established pediatric psychiatry and adolescent
psychiatry outpatient clinics, also covering consultation liaison services.
Bursa Şevket Yılmaz Training and Teaching Hospital (2010-2012): Established child psychiatry
clinic and worked as the division head for child and adolescent psychiatry in an outpatient
service, also covering consultation and liaison services and pediatric psychiatric emergency
service. Evaluated more than 5000 patients, and provided outpatient follow-up.
NYU School of Medicine, Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (2010-2012):
Adjunct Assistant Clinical Professor. Work in collaboration with NYU faculty, teach seminars to
residents.
NYU Child Study Center (2008-2010): Worked as a second year fellow with a primary focus in
mood and anxiety disorders and ADHD. Received extensive training in psychopharmacology of
child mental illness, Autism Spectrum Disorders, CBT and DBT.
Bellevue Hospital Center (2008-2010): Worked in child and adolescent inpatient units and in the
outpatient clinic, with a primary focus in psychopharmacological management of complicated
co-morbid psychiatric illness, childhood trauma and abuse and parent management training.
Manhattan Family Court (2008-2010): Worked as child psychiatry expert consultant in
psychiatric evaluations of delinquent youth in New York City. Prepared psychiatric evaluation
for court review.
Public School 33- Chelsea Prep (2009): Worked as a consultant child psychiatrist for a large
public school in Manhattan. Organized teacher and psychologist education meetings evaluated
early signs of childhood mental illness in public schools. Attended school board meetings and
individualized education plan meetings and contributed in decision making process for services

endered for children in need.
Yale University Health Services (2007-2008): Worked with adolescent and young adult student
population with a primary focus on mood and anxiety disorders, brief dynamic psychotherapy
and cognitive processing therapy (CPT) of trauma related mental illness.
Connecticut Mental Health Center (2005-2008): Treated chronic mental illness of adult
psychiatric patients who are on disability.
West Haven VA Hospital (2006-2007): Worked with veterans with a primary focus on dual
diagnosis patients (co-morbid substance abuse and primary Axis-I disorders).
Yale Psychiatric Hospital (2005-2008): Worked with a diverse population in adult and
adolescent inpatient units and psychiatric emergency room setting.
Yale Adult OCD Clinic (2003-2005): Worked with complicated SSRI refractory OCD patients,
coordinated clinical studies, conducted diagnostic evaluations, monitored clinical improvement
by administering rating scales.
