Information regarding implementation of Right to<br />
Information Act in the Department.<br />
As per the instructions issued <strong>fr</strong>om time to<br />
time by the Govt. the Right to Information Act is being<br />
implemented in letter & spirit. Department has also made<br />
available the information on the web site to the general<br />
public. During the quarter ending on 31 st March, 2009 the<br />
department has received 33 applications under Right to<br />
information Act and reply of the same have also been<br />
sent to the applicants. Two applications for inspection<br />
received by the department and request acceded and<br />
inspection & desired document allowed. Besides this, 04<br />
appeals also received by the department. In this regard<br />
desired information on 03 has been given and matter is<br />
under process for one. For the implementation of RTI<br />
Act Training/ awareness camps for the PIOs have also<br />
been conducted at Directorate and notifications/<br />
circulars received <strong>fr</strong>om the Govt. for the implementation<br />
of RTI Act have also been sent to the sub offices for<br />
necessary compliance.<br />
