Water Resource Management<br />
GBRA's Water Resources<br />
Division includes the<br />
Regional Laboratory in<br />
Seguin, the Coleto Creek<br />
Division, the Calhoun Canal<br />
System and the stored water<br />
portion of Canyon Reservoir.<br />
Division employees are<br />
responsible for managing<br />
water resource supply, operations,<br />
planning, development,<br />
education, and water<br />
quality monitoring and protection.<br />
The Regional Laboratory<br />
is located in Seguin and conducts<br />
bacteriological and<br />
chemical analysis of groundwater<br />
wells and environmental<br />
samples for cities, water<br />
districts, industries, consulting<br />
firms and private individuals,<br />
as well as potable water,<br />
wastewater and biosolids.<br />
Laboratory employees<br />
also provide technical assistance<br />
to GBRA's water and<br />
wastewater treatment operations,<br />
and prepare applications<br />
for new, renewed or<br />
amended wastewater discharge<br />
permits.<br />
GBRA participates in the<br />
Clean <strong>River</strong>s Program, Texas<br />
Watch and other water quality<br />
monitoring efforts.<br />

oxygen demand tests.
