There were relatively few responses when the respondents were
questioned as to what the most important service offered by the
local administration was. This may point towards low levels of
service delivery or low levels of information provided about the
services offered. Security was nonetheless cited as the most
important service provided by the local administration, having
been mentioned 16 times (Fig 50).
Conversely however, the response rate was much higher when
respondents were asked about the most pressing local issues.
Unemployment, poor education and poor health were the top 3
most cited problems, being attributed to 296, 267 and 209
responses respectively. Poor sanitation, bad health centres, lack of
infrastructure, lack of water, weak economy and shortage of
electricity supply were also frequently mentioned (Fig 51).
