How to Find Buckminster Gliding <strong>Club</strong>:<br />
Saltby airfield is 10 mins from the ‘Skillington’<br />
and ‘Buckminster’ exit on the A1.<br />
If arriving from the west take the A607 at Melton<br />
Mowbray and turn right for Saltby at Croxton<br />
Kerial – continue through Saltby village to<br />
Sproxton and turn right towards Skillington<br />
when leaving the village.<br />
The entrance to the club is shown on the map to<br />
the right ><br />

The entrance to the Gliding <strong>Club</strong> is 500 yards<br />

ORGANISATION<br />
An operations and weather briefing will be given every morning at 0930 hrs in the <strong>Club</strong> House<br />
Tasks will be set appropriate to the soaring forecast<br />
If you have not flown from Saltby recently you will need a check flight with an instructor in a club 2-seater<br />
A rigging area is available by the private hangar<br />
Retrieves must be arranged prior to take-off<br />
A visitors flying record card is available to help you keep track of your flights and costs<br />
CATERING<br />
EVENTS<br />
Breakfast can be arranged by request (please advise by 12 June)<br />
Sandwiches, rolls, snacks and refreshments will be available for lunch<br />
Evening meals can be arranged by request<br />
A BBQ and party will be held in the <strong>Club</strong> House on Saturday 22th June<br />
