So there were a number <strong>of</strong> families living up here<br />

About how many children were in the school, do you think<br />

About thirty-five.<br />

Thirty-five children. One room school-house<br />

Who was your teacher up here<br />

The teacher we had here was Buzzard, Mrs. Buzzard.<br />

Mrs. Buzzard<br />

Yes. And then Thelma Lindsey, she was the last one, that’s when they closed the school.<br />

When did they close the school you think When you left<br />

Yes, they closed the school in the ‘50s.<br />

Oh, so you were older already<br />

Yes.<br />
