State Route 57 (SR-57) Improvements between <strong>Orange</strong>thorpe to<br />

Lambert, Katella to Lincoln, and <strong>Orange</strong>wood to Katella.<br />

SR-57 Northbound– Construction Under Way<br />

Summary: Construction is underway on three segments of the SR-57 freeway to add a new northbound<br />

general purpose lane through the cities of Anaheim, Brea, Fullerton, and Placentia. Caltrans is<br />

overseeing construction which continued during the quarter.<br />

SR-57 Northbound, Katella Avenue to Lincoln Avenue: Construction progress is approximately<br />

20 percent complete and the project is expected to be completed by the spring of 2014.<br />

SR-57 Northbound, <strong>Orange</strong>thorpe Ave to Yorba Linda Blvd: Construction progress is<br />

approximately 55 percent complete and the project is expected to be completed in the fall of 2013.<br />

SR-57 Northbound, Yorba Linda Blvd to Lambert Road: Construction progress is approximately<br />

60 percent complete and the project is expected to be completed in early 2014.<br />

Summary: <strong>OC</strong>TA initiated a PSR/PDS to add capacity in the northbound direction of the SR-57 in the cities<br />

of Anaheim and <strong>Orange</strong>. This quarter, <strong>OC</strong>TA conducted an initial kickoff meeting, met with<br />

study stakeholders, and initiated data collection efforts to support the PSR/PDS. The study is<br />

anticipated to be complete in approximately 18 months in early 2014.
