HTTP cache configuration<br />

Cache size<br />

Size of the cache file on the disk.<br />

Maximal cache size allowed is 2 GB (2047 MB). However tests in field prove that with<br />

size larger than 1 GB (1024 MB), the speed of object search and thus the efficiency of the<br />

cache decreases significantly. Therefore, it is not recommended to create cache larger<br />

than 1 GB.<br />

The cache is located in the cache subdirectory of the <strong>Kerio</strong> Control’s head directory, i.e.:<br />

• in Windows edition typically:<br />

C:\Program Files\<strong>Kerio</strong>\WinRoute\Firewall\cache<br />

• in <strong>Software</strong> Appliance / VMware Virtual Appliance edition always:<br />

/opt/kerio/winroute/cache<br />

It is necessary that there is enough free space on the particular drive or to change cache<br />

size according to the free disk space.<br />

Note:<br />

1. If 98 per cent of the cache is full, a so called cleaning will be run — this function<br />

will remove all objects with expired TTL. If no objects are deleted successfully, no<br />
