Company culture<br />

- key component of the company’s success, mission and<br />

strategy<br />

measure of employee behaviour between themselves,<br />

towards the clients, it reflects the employee mutual<br />

trust and satisfaction<br />

- directly impacts employee motivation<br />

KONTINUITA poisťovňa, a. s. Vienna Insurance Group<br />

has clearly defined company values, which represent<br />

the basic principles of company employees behaviour.<br />

The basis of company culture is the identification of employees<br />

with company, engaged, pro-active attitude toward<br />

work, loyalty and respect towards company<br />

objectives.<br />

Performance-oriented company culture in Vienna Insurance<br />

Group is focus on achieving leading position<br />

on the Slovak insurance market – maximum degree of<br />

customer orientation with the aim of delivering top<br />

quality services.<br />

The basis of company culture eased adherence to<br />

basic values:<br />

As a part of performance-oriented company culture we<br />

focus on the following:<br />

Personnel status and trend<br />

As of 31.12. 2008 the average adjusted number of employees<br />

was 199. Slight year-on-year reduction in the<br />

number was due to efficiency improvements of back-office<br />

activities. Development trend over the past three<br />

years was a massive built-up of the Internal Sales Network,<br />

leading to an increase in the number of sales staff<br />

in comparison with administration personnel.<br />

From the total number of employees in 2008, 17 worked<br />

in managerial positions, with 29% of those managerial<br />

positions (director) were staffed by women.<br />

The following growth is showing the employee numbers<br />

over a period 2000 – 2008:<br />
