The French breeding icon Gourmette EX 92 is the basis
of Gunnar’s special pedigree which includes an unusual
line-up of international sires. In the end, this results in a
very balanced combination of desired traits or in short:
Gunnar.
The first heifers shown impressed breeders, and this
enthusiasm remains due to their enormous development
potential. Gunnar daughters are characterized by their
uniformity. They present themselves with lots of style
and elegance. As well as good dairy type, they also
have enough frame, strength and body depth. Rumps
are of the desired width, correctly sloped and complete
the balanced overall package.
The correctly set feet and legs of the Gunnar daughters
are optimally set and impress with their good bone
quality and excellent locomotion. Foot quality should
also be commended.
The harmony shown by the Gunnar daughters in the
body can also be seen in the udders. They excel with
excellent texture and outstanding attachment. They are
attached highly and widely in the rear and are wellattached
in the fore, too. Despite the strong suspensory
ligament, teats are optimally placed both in the fore
and in the rear, enabling trouble-free milkability.
There is rarely a bull that offers outstanding production
breeding values as well as really good show potential.
Gunnar is such a bull and combines these two characteristics
with excellent fitness figures and excellent
calving ease.
