You cannot have more of an outcross pedigree! Elstar is<br />
the progeny of the <strong>German</strong> Emerson son, Elonko, and<br />
out of a deep <strong>German</strong> cow family, originating from<br />
Salve EX 92. Besides faultless conformation, this family<br />
is characterized in particular, by high milk production<br />
and good longevity.<br />
The balanced and weakness free conformation of the<br />
cow family of Elstar can also be seen in his daughters.<br />
The framy daughters show themselves with sufficient type<br />
and lots of strength in the fore hand, in combination with<br />
adequate body depth so that they have nice overall capacity.<br />
Body width is also reflected in optimally sloped<br />
rumps, completing the harmonic overall picture.<br />
Elstar shows no weaknesses for feet and legs transmission.<br />
The parallel set of the clean feet and legs, which<br />
have an average angle, must be praised giving his<br />
daughters outstanding locomotion. Furthermore, foot<br />
quality is one of Elstar’s transmission strengths.<br />
Rear udders are attached sufficiently high and wide,<br />
showing a nice suspensory ligament. Fore udders show<br />
lots of harmony so that the udder height can be described<br />
as optimal. In addition, correct teat placement<br />
should be commended, resulting in a very functional,<br />
easy to milk udder of the Elstar daughters.<br />
Components are mainly neutral and Elstar has good production<br />
transmission. This makes him a good all-rounder<br />
combined with his correct conformation for all traits. He<br />
can be really recommended for widespread use due to<br />
his completely different pedigree.
