What will happen when using polled sires?<br />

Most of the time, in practice, heterozygous polled sires (Pp)<br />

are mated with cows, having horns (pp).<br />

50% of calves from this will be polled (Pp), the other 50% will<br />

get horns (pp). When mating a homozygous polled bull with a<br />

horned cow, 100% of the progeny will be polled (Pp).<br />
