Variography was again attempted by Avalon. While results were inconclusive they generally support the search distances used to determine the indicated resource as is shown in the sample variogram given in Figure 17-5. Figure 17-5 Global Variogram OF HREO Avalon re-ran the variography for TREO, HREO, ZrO 2 , Nb 2 O 5 ,Ta 2 O 5 ,Dy 2 O 3 and Tb 2 O 3 using the updated data set and concluded that similar to Scott Wilson RPA that there was no strong directionality – however there does appear to be relatively continuity to at approximately 70 meters for most of the elements. As such IDW 2 was also used in this resource estimate. SEARCH STRATEGY A two pass, isotropic search field was used by Avalon to overcome the apparent lack of grade directionality. was equal to 60 m by 60 m by 30 m and the second pass was 240 m by 240 m by 120 m. The shorter range is perpendicular to the plane of the mineralized zone and interpolation was performed on the un-wrinkled/flattened zones. The details and comparison to previous resource calculations are listed in Table 17-10. MineSight was used to define “ore types” based on distance to a diamond drill hole and in the case of Upper Zone mineralization whether it met a two hole minimum for “measured and indicated”. All measured (as defined as 25m distance to a drill hole) was then downgraded to indicated. Indicated was limited to a maximum of 60 meters to a drill hole (and more than 25 meters). The deposit was broken into three domains as shown in Fig.17-6.
