Learning Outcomes<br />

ASIST is a two-day comprehensive workshop for<br />

anyone who wants to learn how to recognise the signs<br />

<strong>of</strong> suicidal thoughts <strong>and</strong> how to intervene to prevent<br />

the immedi<strong>at</strong>e risk <strong>of</strong> suicide. The course is designed<br />

to help all in communities to become more willing,<br />

ready <strong>and</strong> able to help people <strong>at</strong> risk <strong>of</strong> suicide<br />

SafeTALK is a 4-hour session aimed <strong>at</strong> giving<br />

participants the skills to recognise th<strong>at</strong> someone may<br />

be suicidal <strong>and</strong> to connect the person to someone<br />

with suicide intervention skills. It is designed for<br />

organis<strong>at</strong>ions th<strong>at</strong> already have ASIST trained helpers<br />

in place to maximise intervention as the main suicide<br />

prevention focus.<br />

Better underst<strong>and</strong>ing <strong>of</strong> mental health <strong>and</strong> mental illhealth.<br />

De-mystifies mental health <strong>and</strong> addresses stigma.<br />

Package includes lots <strong>of</strong> links to helpful resources,<br />
