A further report will be presented to Council in relation to funding sources and business case
analysis.
STRATEGIC DIRECTION:
The Quarry Amphitheatre Concept Master Plan supports a number of key priority areas of
the Town's 2009-2020 Strategic Plan, specifically:-
Planning for Our Community
• A wide range of quality , accessible recreation facilities;
• Alignment of Towns plans with community needs;
Delivering Our Services
• Services that meet the needs of ratepayers, residents and visitors;
• Community infrastructure that is well used.
Capacity to Deliver
• Open and transparent governance;
• Financial sustainability.
COMMUNITY CONSULTATION:
Consultation was undertaken with a number of key stakeholders during the design review:-
• Individual meetings with all regular long-term users;
• 2 x Council forums.
Subject to Council endorsement, it is proposed to undertake wider community consultation
regarding this project.

ADMINISTRATION RECOMMENDATION:
That:-
(i)
(ii)
(iii)
the Quarry Amphitheatre Concept Master Plan be endorsed, subject to the outcome
of the Community Consultation Process;
community consultation on the Quarry Amphitheatre Master Plan be commenced for
a period of 4 weeks; and
a further report be presented on (ii) above, stage surface/design analysis and
financial modelling.
