CR12.178 QUARRY AMPHITHEATRE CONCEPT MASTER PLAN
PURPOSE OF REPORT:
To seek approval to proceed with community consultation on the Quarry Amphitheatre
Concept Master Plan.
BACKGROUND:
In February 2012, Council considered report 'Quarry Amphitheatre - Proposed State Cover
Feedback and Future Stage 1 Capital Works Program' (Item CR12.10) and Council's
decision was:-
"That:-
(i)
no permanent stage cover be installed at the Quarry Amphitheatre;
(ii) the following capital works be undertaken during the 2011/2012 and 2012/2013
financial years:

(iii)
a Consultant be appointed to assist the Town in:
(a)
(b)
(c)
design work in relation to capital works outlined in the above table (exception of
Item 5 - Clear Roof Marquee);
the future office accommodation, toilets, parking and other associated facilities,
subject to a business case;
specifying an appropriate stage;
(iv)
the Department of Culture and Arts be approached regarding the use of WA Ballet's
sprung floor;
