COUNCIL MINUTES TUESDAY 27 NOVEMBER 2012 According to section 6.19 of the Local Government Act 1995, if the Council proposes to impose any fees or charges after the Annual Budget has been adopted, then the Council is to give local public notice of its intention to do so and advise the effective date of change. Accordingly, it is recommended that statutory advertising as required by Section 6.19 of the Local Government Act 1995 are undertaken in the Post Newspaper, Council and golf course website and noticeboards. FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: The setting of fees will have a direct impact on the amount of revenue generated at the WGC. The proposed fees should result in the Town achieving its budgeted revenue for 2012/2013. STRATEGIC DIRECTION: The proposed review of fees and charges supports a number of the Priority Areas of the Town’s 2009-2020 Strategic Plan, namely:- • Delivery of our services; and • Capacity to Delivery. COMMUNITY CONSULTATION: In accordance with Policy Number 1.2.11, community consultation is not required. However, the proposed new fees and charges will be publicly advertised in the Post Newspaper, Council and Golf Course websites and noticeboards. SUMMARY: The Wembley Golf Course fees and charges are at the top end of the metropolitan public golf course pricing and it is therefore proposed to introduce marginal increases for the period 1 January to 30 June 2013. A further report will be presented to Council in June 2013 outlining a number of alternative pricing models and strategies, which allows for the implementation of a new booking system and redevelopment decisions at Hamersley GC and Burswood GC.
