ProPlex PowerData PCCAT5EP3X2.5 eliminates the need for banding
data and power cables together. The cable comprises CAT5e data and
3x2.5 mm 2 power, combined in a single figure-8 configuration – like
a zip cord. The figure 8 configuration reduces electronic interference
between power and data lines and also breaks out easily, without the
inconvenient sleeving necessary when power and data conductors
are combined under one jacket. The verified CAT5e data cable
component contains four twisted pairs of 0.25 mm 2 stranded cores
in an SF/UTP structure with foam insulation, Kevlar strengthening
members, with foil and braid shielding. The power cable component
contains three 2.5 mm 2 XLPE-insulated cores. Both cables are
jacketed with a UV-resistant FRPVC compound. PCCAT5EP3X2.5
complies with IEC 61156-6 and EIA/TIA 568B.2 work area cable
standards, plus European Directive 2002/95/EC (RoHS).
Power and data cables can be
easily split to any length.
TMB recommends point of split be
reinforced with glue-filled shrink.
