Create a matrix (like the one to<br />
the right).<br />
List names of journals you<br />
selected across top.<br />
List possible criteria down the<br />
side.<br />
Read the journals with the<br />
criteria you’ve identified in mind<br />
<strong>and</strong> record the information on<br />
the matrix.<br />
Once you have identified one or<br />
two journals as viable<br />
possibilities, repeat the exercise<br />
using several of the most recent<br />
issues of the same journal.<br />
When you have finished, you<br />
should have a good idea of a<br />
journal for either a completed<br />
manuscript or journals to which<br />
you will submit future work.<br />
