the word limit rather than to leave out a key point or issue; but stay close to the<br />
limit.<br />
Is there a cost to the author For example, if you want a table or graph<br />
reproduced in color, is it at a cost to you<br />
Think about the reputation of the journal, the lag time<br />
from receipt of the manuscript to publication, <strong>and</strong> whether<br />
or not the journal uses the peer-review process to judge<br />
manuscripts.<br />
Peruse journal web sites for useful information. Often<br />
the editorial board is listed, submission guidelines<br />
provided, email addresses given, <strong>and</strong> the focus of<br />
previous issues summarized.<br />
