This morning, Dr. Vic Pentz will preach at 8:45, 10:00 and 11:15 a.m. as we 

continue our sermon series Hot Topics in the Corinthian Letters. The scripture 

for today’s sermon, “Let’s Call A Truce In The Worship Wars” is I Corinthians 14. 

At the 8:45, 10:00, 11:05 and 11:15 services, we celebrate the sacrament of 

baptism. Baptism of infants is one way we look to the future. As we welcome 

these children into our fellowship, we also pledge that we will nurture their faith 

trusting that they will one day profess their own faith in Jesus Christ. 

today is the FIFTH sunday in lent 

A 40-day journey toward the cross that culminates in the celebration of Christ’s 

resurrection. Lent is a prayerful season. Throughout Lent we pay attention to our lives 

and the particular demands we face as we seek to walk daily with Jesus. We need help 

doing this. Today, we join with those first disciples in asking Jesus, “Lord, teach us to pray.”

stories combined with Biblical lessons, 

featuring couples who have openly shared 

their stories to help shine a light on an 

emotional and challenging journey. An 

estimated one-in-six American couples 

of child bearing age experience infertility, 

including couples who already have been 

blessed with a child.

Camp S.O.S. Family 

New this summer — Families with rising 

1st - 4th graders, join us for camp as we 

explore how God has created each family 

special to honor Him by serving each other, 

our community and the world. We’ll begin 

with dinner together on Friday evening. 

Included in camp are service experiences 

with Peachtree’s community partners. One 

or more children with one or more parents 

constitute a family. Two sessions are 

offered: July 30-31 or August 20-21, 2010. 

Each camp is Friday, 6:00 - 8:30 p.m., and 

Saturday, 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.. Cost is

Easter Prayer Vigil 

Because we believe that prayer makes a 

difference, you are invited to participate 

in a Prayer Vigil between 9:00 p.m. on 

Maundy Thursday, April 1, and 7:00 a.m. 

Easter Sunday morning. Individuals, small 

groups, or classes may choose an hour to 

come to the Wilson Chapel to pray for our 

members and ministries. (Sunday School

The National Alliance on Mental Illness 

(NAMI) Family-to-Family educational course 

This course is designed for family members, 

partners and friends of individuals who 

are diagnosed with schizophrenia, major 

depression, bipolar disorder (manic 

depression), panic disorder, obsessivecompulsive 

disorder, borderline personality 

disorder, co-occuring brain disorders and 

addictive disorders and PTSD. Through 

education and awareness, caregivers gain 

a greater understanding of these brain 

disorders. Our Family Support group will 

meet on Sunday, April 18th from 3:00–

1. Build with Atlanta Habitat for Humanity 

Dig out your work gloves and come join us as we begin construction on 

Peachtree’s House #144 on April 17th. Sign up for one Saturday or all six 

Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.. For more information and registration, visit

2. Travel to Malawi with VBS 

Students (12 and older) and adults are encouraged to use your gifts and skills 

to serve as leaders with VBS, June 7–10. Come shepherd a small group of 

children, assist with crafts, lead recreation activities, welcome children and 

families, or serve snacks. Volunteers can serve all four days or as many days as 

available. Hours are 8:50 a.m.–12:45 p.m. each day. Come celebrate with our 

children how God is at work here and in Malawi. For more information and to

3. Serve with us for 2nd Saturday in the City. 

Join the family-friendly KidMix program at the City of Refuge, 

a high-impact version of Children’s Church which targets at-risk

4. Tutor a LaAmistad Student 

Be a part of Peachtree’s La Amistad-ministry to Latino students
