A brief description of the staffs review and the GElS conclusions, as codified in Table B-i, for<br />

each of these issues follows:<br />

Radiation exposures to public (license renewal term). Based on information in the<br />

GELS, the Commission found that<br />

Radiation doses to the public will continue at current levels associated with<br />

normal operations.<br />

The staff has not identified any new and significant information during its independent review of<br />

the NMC ER,the staff's site visit, the scoping process, its evaluation of other available<br />

information, or public comments on the draft.SEIS. Therefore, the staff concludes that there<br />

are no impacts of radiation exposures to the public during the renewal term beyond those<br />

discussed in the GELS.<br />

Occupational radiation exposures (license renewal term). Based on information in the<br />

GELS, the Commission found that<br />

Projected maximum occupational doses during the license renewal term are<br />

within the range of doses experienced during normal operations and normal<br />

maintenance outages, and would be well below regulatory limits.<br />

The staff has not identified any new and significant information during its independent review<br />

of the NMC ER, the staff's site visit, the scoping process, its evaluation of other available<br />

information, or public comments on the draft SEIS. Therefore, the staff concludes that there<br />

are no impacts of occupational radiation exposures during the renewal term beyond those<br />

discussed in the GELS.<br />

There are no Category 2 issues related to radiological impacts of routine operations.<br />
