The WALKAWAY Low-Profile Spring Clip Brackets
are designed for SCBA with clearance issues.
The WALKAWAY spring clip brackets can only be used in
non-crew compartment areas or in the station unless the
apparatus is a 2002 or older per NFPA 1901-03. The low
profile spring clip brackets were designed to work with air
packs that have clearance issues with the standard length clips.
The spring clips are 1” shorter than the standard high cycle
clip and will not interfere with harness assembly or hoses.
The low profile brackets are available in the high cycle coating
and the full high cycle coating.
The SCBA is held in place by the two spring clips. To put it in
place simply place the valve of the SCBA on the footplate and
push it into place. To remove it, just pull the SCBA out. The
bracket can be ordered with 3 different optional straps. See
page 1-23 for the straps.
The bracket consists of backplate, short footplate, and two low
profile spring clips. All items are black thermoplastic coated
for years of trouble-free service.
