According to the equipment concerned, Schneider Electric offers different types of services, including: @ Supplying spare parts, @ Modifying cubicles, @ Replacing protective devices, @ Replacing original devices with latest-generation devices. There are various ways of replacing old devices. The most usual methods are: Retrofit: the original circuit breaker and its truck are replaced @ The connection interfaces (power and low voltage) are adapted for use on the original cubicle. @ The new circuit breaker is fitted with the new interfaces. @ The solution is tested mechanically with the mounting jig. Retrofil: the original truck is retained and fitted with a new circuit breaker @ The original truck is renovated. @ The power interfaces are either retained and renovated or they are recreated. @ The new circuit breaker is adapted for mounting on the original truck. @ The solution is tested mechanically with the mounting jig. Schneider Electric can also implement these solutions with devices manufactured by its competitors (Alstom, Calor Emag, ABB, ASEA, BBC, UNELEC, AREVA). Many retrofitted devices are in use worldwide. Modernization Presentation of the offer Renovations solutions www.eastmed.schneider-electric.com Scope of the offer Switchboard renovation @ Progressive replacement without modification of customers’ equipment: renovation of medium and low voltage switchgear, kits for improving equipment. @ Complete replacement or addition of cubicles by extension: insertion of cubicles into the switchboard with connection ducts, addition at the end of the switchboard of cubicles identical to the initial cubicle, in accordance with floor space constraints. Switchgear renovation Replacement of old medium and low voltage switchgear and protection devices by retrofit solutions.
