Team Ormoc goes three for three
sports

on the clock to lead the CBTC
LGU Ormoc Selection to their
third straight victory via a 64-59
squeaker over the Linao National
High School Sharks.
The CBTC dribblers, who
played without Coach Cliff
Tesocan and wingman WLC Baby
Mustang Kelvin Ongue, have to
pull under the rags against the
hard-nosed Sharks. After a see-saw
opening, Reinald Vince Aviles fires
6 straight points off the bench to
close the first, 21-12. CBTC opened
the second with their reserves but
the Sharks manage to climb back
until they snatch the driver seat,
31-30, 8:10 in the second. Both
teams then misfires shots while
trying to outdo each other on the
boards before Capahi launches
back to back triples to spark an 8-0
run to end the half.
CBTC set the third quarter
for demolition as Aviles, Jepong
Garcia and Capahi effectively
shut the passing lanes and convert
fastbreak plays to pull away. But
the Sharks aren’t playing on a
tune-up game. They force the issue
in the shaded lane and exploit the
CBTC dribblers’ weakness at the
post, climbing back to the game. In
the fourth quarter, CBTC’s range is
already off the radar as the Sharks
climbed back from a double-digit
margin to a three point game, 60-57,
2:12 on the clock. JR. Larrazabal
then nails free-throws to put CBTC
ahead before Aviles split charities
with 49.7 seconds to go. Mon

to inch closer, 63-59 before Jon
Paolo Capahi fires an open three
to seal the deal for the LGU Team.
The win is the third in a row for the
local selection, having beaten the
Ormoc Se San School Dragons and
the Albuera Private High School

address. Though their are still
other issues and concerns especially
infrastructure projects that they
wish to avail like pathways, road
concreting and others but these are
just minor as they to put on priority

Other local officials joining in
the said activity were Hon. Demy
Tugonon, Bingo Capahi who is the
Barangay in charge, Lea Villar,
Payling Omega Mayong Rodriguez
and some department heads and
PNP personnel. Councilor Capahi
said that it’s a good thing that this
mandate is being implemented
in order for the government to
be closer to the people. Though
there are problems that cannot be
solved right away but at least it
will be taken and will find ways for
its solution. “Dina kinahanglan
muadto sa syudad para sa inyong
problema, kay ang pamunuan sa
gobyerno niana; dili man masulbad
dayun ang concerns at least man
lang matagad”.
Barangay folks especially
women asks for livelihood training
particularly on sewing through
the DSWD programs . They were
advised to form a group of at least
25 persons so that the sessions will
be done right in their barangay.
To sum it up Mayor Eric Codilla
answers their concerns and said that
a covered court costs P4 million
though he didn’t promise to have
it this year but to find budget and
pledge to construct before his last
term ends. “Ang major roads ug
infrastructure hinayhinayan talang
ug ang atong budget maoy agdun”.
The Mayor himself also is aware of
the status in Sitio Mandang because
he experienced how hard it is to
reach the said place “lisod gyud
ang daan, himuan unta ug hanging
bridge pero nagkalapad pud ang
sapa kay siging katumpag ang yuta,
maghimog cogcog nga kawayan”.
