On August 26, past one (1) in the morning, little did I know that it was the end of my father’s living years that eventually shocked the members of our family knowing the incident. While he was conscious, I felt his emotion being scared of losing his breathing. He called my name several times until I got out of the gate when he said, he has to go to the comfort room. I waited outside and then later, Nanay shouted for help and having rushed towards them, I saw my father lying unconscious on the wet floor. It was very heartbreaking, because when he was still at the CR, I heard him saying “Wana! D’nako kaginhawa. Wana! Wana!”. Then he called God by saying, “Ginoo tabangi ko. Ginoo tabangi ko.” Painful, isn’t it After seeing your father alive and cheerful a night before his death, enjoying the Willing Willie game show on TV, here came out an unexpected moment. Then we rushed him to the hospital and while on its way, I fear of something that I could regret all my life. At the hospital saddened by the reactions of the hospital personnel, I had to text and went to my brothers to tell in details the moment that could be our depressing day as we see our Tatay Boy, lifeless. I could have saved him or at least prevent that time to come. These were what came first into my mind. I don’t know what to say; very painful. But I had to be strong to put off myself to another accident. I knew my blood pressure was high. Tatay still want to live. I knew it. He could not ask for my help if he wasn’t determined to stay longer. And that what makes me feel guilty, for something more could have been done or could have made him live. I truly believe there was a reason for his untimely death. A reason that only the Creator and Savior himself knows. Whatever it may be, Tatay is now in God’s side. And I pray for his soul that he may rest in peace. Tatay will always be remembered, and we, his loving children and Nanay Terry will always love him and forever cherish the good things he left in us; the good life we have now is because of him for we could not have reached this far if not for Tatay and Nanay. Tatay Boy is not lost literally for he is always in us; in our hearts and in our mind. Our love to you is beyond end line. There were four of them, Atty. Arturo F. Aside from that, he brought victory to several groups who engaged his services for the same purpose. My father was a sports minded. He loves to play baseball and chess. During his years at the Dep Ed, he managed to sustain the attitude of the athletes towards sports. But Tatay Boy was known more to be the last Boy Scout. He wore his Boy Scout uniform during an event that showcases a Boys Scout related activity even in his 50’s .He is an acknowledged guru. As far as I can see and remember, we still have all his gadgets so to speak, kept in a safe place. He was a mentor to the boy scout. He was a trainer. A boy scout at laging handa!
